North Dakota Employment Analysis

( Data Date : June 2017 )

North Dakota Employment Data

Located in the Great Plains of the Midwest, the Peace Garden State’s economy has been driven by energy exploration in the Bakken Shale formation, heavy reliance upon agricultural commodities such as wheat, and proximity to Canada. North Dakota has recently shown pressures of lower oil prices, and job gains pace is at five-year low. Economic growth is dependent upon creating economic drivers outside energy and agriculture, and enhancing transportation and utility infrastructure to accommodate energy industry growth.
