Pennsylvania Employment Analysis

( Data Date : April 2017 )

Pennsylvania Employment Data

Located in the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S., the Keystone State has a sizable energy industry, with plenty of natural gas trapped in the Marcellus Shale play. Its economy continues to grow modestly though, with gains held back recently by further declines in oil and gas exploration. Growth industries include life sciences, engineering and healthcare, with leading educational institutions and hospitals. Pennsylvania’s economy is improving, but weak population demographics and poor public sector finances are keeping growth in check. (Source: Wells Fargo Securities, LLC)
