Montana Employment Data

Located in the Mountain-Plains region of the U.S., the Treasure State’s fastest employment growth industry since the recession has been health care, with large job gains also related to the Bakken oil fields development. Manufacturing remains an important component to GDP growth the past five years, especially from petroleum and coal products. Montana’s continued economic growth will be challenged by a limited working-age population restricting labor force growth. (Source: Montana Dept. of Labor & Industry)
