Brookings: The Hutchins Center on Fiscal and Monetary Policy Municipal Finance Conference

Event Description:

The Municipal Finance Conference brings together academics, practitioners, issuers, and regulators to discuss recent research on state and local fiscal issues and municipal markets. The topics to be discussed will be broad but focus on current influences on regional, local, and state economic conditions. A detailed agenda has yet to be released. The Conference will be held at the Brookings Institute.

The organizers are Michael Belsky, the Executive Director of the Center for Municipal Finance at the Harris School of Public Policy, Daniel Bergstresser, an Associate Professor of Finance at the Brandeis International Business School, Richard Ryffel, a senior lecturer at the Washington University’s Olin Business School, Louise Sheiner, a senior fellow in Economic Studies and policy director for the Hutchins Center on Fiscal and Monetary Policy, and David Wessel, director of the Hutchins Center on Fiscal and Monetary Policy.
